Cremins Lands Second Carlton by Dave Telep of Scout.com, October 19, 2009 at 9:22pm ET
James Carlton Profile
The Carlton Family knows Bobby Cremins well. Real well.
“Coach Cremins recruited (my dad) back in the day at Appalachian State,” James Carlton told Scout.com. “Coach left the year my dad went to college.”
This time around, Cremins is going to actually coach a Carlton. On Monday, James committed to play for the College of Charleston. The 6-foot-7 Winterville (N.C.) South Central standout is headed to play in the SoCon, just like his father.
“I would have to beat out two sophomores for the starting spot. I believe I can do that. They see my playing the four and moving me to the three. They run four out and one in, so it’s a versatile four position.”
Carlton is a two-time Carolina Challenge camp participant.
