| 6-9 power forward Brandon Bender of Cincinnati State (OH) CC signed with Louisville out of high school after starring for Louisville (KY) Ballard. He averaged 18.1 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.5 blocked shots per game as a high school senior, leading Ballard to a 32-2 record and a ranking as high as fourth nationally. His 1,860 career points is second all-time at Ballard to current New York Knicks guard Allan Houston and he is the all-time leader in rebounding (1,178) and blocked shots (260) at Ballard. Bender left Louisville after his freshman year, where he averaged 3.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. |
