| As a senior at Bishop McGuiness he averaged 21.5 points, 14 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. Had high scoring games of 47 and 36 his senior year...Shot 44 percent from the floor, 42 percent from the three-point line, and 80.8 percent from the free-throw line. Bishop McGuiness reached the state independent 3-A finals.
Played his way into PrepStars.com's top 100 for the Class of 2001 ratings after starting the year ranked no. 261. The 32nd best recruit entering the ACC in by the ACC Area Sports Journal.
A native of Bulgaria, he lived in France for most of his life before moving to the United States. Younger brother of former UNC forward Vasco Evtimov, who is now playing professionally in Greece.
