ON JOHNSON: Earned Freshman All-America Honorable Mention honors following his freshman season ..one of the top post players in the ACC and destined to be one of the nation's top players during his career at Florida State...named to the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2004 as he ranked second among all conference freshmen in rebounding (4.2 rpg), third in scoring (9.5 ppg), third in field goal shooting (.551), fifth in blocked shots (0.61 bpg), 10th in free throw shooting (.675), 11th in assists (0.82 apg) and 12th in steals (0.82 spg)...finished third in the voting for the All-Freshman team behind only Chris Paul of Wake Forest and Luol Deng of Duke...only the third Seminole in history to be named to the All-ACC Freshman Team - he joins Seminole geats Corey Louis (1995) and Michael Joiner (2001) as the only three Florida State players who have been named to the All-ACC Freshman Team...Florida State's second leading scorer and total 312 points and a 9.5 points per game scoring average...started each of the final 16 games of the season after being inserted into the starting line-up in place of Mike Mathews on Jan. 22 against North Carolina...started 12 of Florida State's 16 ACC games, its game against NC State in the ACC Tournament and its two games against Wichita State and Iowa State in the NIT...was the only freshman to start a game for the Seminoles during the 2004 season...named to the All-Tournament team at the University of Pittsburgh Holiday Hoops Classic as a freshman...was one of the nation's top high school recruits as a senior at Dougherty High School in Albany, Georgia in 2002...was one of the players who made up the consensus No. 1 recruiting class in the nation along with Diego Romero and Von Wafer rated as a the 16th-best player and a five-star following his post-high school year at Bridgton Academy in Maine... as a five-star forward and the 16th best player in the class of 2003...PrepStar's Recruiting Handbook rates him as the nation's 28th best player entering the collegiate ranks for the 2003-04 season...Sporting News ranked him as the nation's 14th best prep prospect as a high school senior...played in the 2002 Capital Classic making him one of one of four current Seminoles who have played in the Capital Classic...he joins Anthony Richardson and Adam Waleskowski who played in the 2001 game and Von Wafer who played in the 2003 game...originally signed with Georgia out of high school but never attended the SEC school...earned two awards at the Seminoles' season-ending banquet - the award as the Seminoles' top field goal percentage shooter and the award for academic achievement among first year players...
