Gatorade Player of the Year Awards Announced

The Gatorade Company announced their Gatorade Player of the Year awards. Among the highlights were Derrick Favors taking home Georgia, Brandon Knight scored Florida's honor and Michael Snaer was awarded California's award.

Since 1985, The Gatorade Company, has recognized high school athletes in various sports, based on athletic and academic achievements. On Tuesday, the Boy’s Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year awards were announced.

The National Gatorade Player of the Year has yet to be announced. The state winners are listed below by state:
