Moore is a 6-3 ½, 185-pound native of Doylestown, Pa., who averaged 12 points per game last season.
``He’s got a lot of big-game exposure under his belt,” Kane said. “He’s a real good shooter and is the epitemy of versatility. He’s a terrific ballhandler, has great accuracy beyond the three-point arc and also passes makes plays.”
While Moore will likely have the ball in his hands most of the time, his backcourt mate, Porter Braswell, will also see some time at the point. Braswell is a 6-1 1/2, 175-pound sophomore from Basking Ridge, N.J. who also brings versatility to the table.
``He’s lightning-quick, but he plays under control,” Kane said. “He has the ability to shift gears and really play at a fast pace. He’s poised and is very effective in the halfcourt as well.”
Kane will have flexibility up front. Look for 6-6, 235-pound senior forward Nathan Hawkins, who hails from San Antonio, Texas, to get plenty of playing time – as will 6-5, 205-pound senior wing Johnathon Dixon, an in-state guy who missed all of last season due to a knee injury.
Kane also has 6-10 senior Grant Wentworth and 6-3 senior wing Rich Rodd, a pair of New Jersey natives who will battle for extensive playing time. Guards Larry Istrail and Mike Lepore should fill reserve roles for the Big Red.
``We also have some talented freshman who will compete for playing time,” Kane added. “Our strength should be in our backcourt with Craig and Porter. I envision them complimenting each other, quite frankly, by way of their similarities.”
