The Purdue Boilermakers brewed up another commitment Tuesday night as Matt Painter’s crew ran its 2010 total to four. Joining guards Anthony Johnson and Terone Johnson will be big men Travis Carroll and New Albany (Ind.) High standout Donnie Hale.
Hale averaged 18 points and nine rebounds last season for New Albany. He looked at Oklahoma State, Xavier and a host of others before settling in on the Boilermakers. He blocked 88 shots in 22 games this past season, including 11 in one contest.
“I’m really glad it’s over,” Hale said in a release. “I put a lot of thought into it for a long while; and at the end of the day, it just seemed like (Purdue) was the best option for me. I’m really glad to be a part of their program now.”
