Miller School, Parker, the No. 5 wing in the 2010 class, is wired up to score and he's proven that throughout the summer. "I think I'm doing pretty good," Parker told Scout.com. "It started off at the LeBron tournament and I think I played really well in that." This past spring was different than years past. Parker is more focused and prepared for what the competition. "I have my mind into it more," he said. "I'm more determined to do better. My dad has had an affect on it too. He was going through some things and that just made me want to work that much harder for him." With strong play comes a reward of a lot of college interest, and Parker's recruitment has picked up. "It's getting crazy and out of control," Parker said. "It's going really good. I'm going to make my list in the middle of July." Currently he holds scholarship offers from Miami, Maryland, Florida, North Carolina State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Clemson. He said Ohio State and Kentucky are also showing strong interest in him. "I'm going to make my decision next spring," he said. "But if anything happens and I decide I want to make my decision it will be sometime during school ball." Although it's still early in the process, two schools have made it to the top of Parker's list. "They are all the same, but I do kind of like Maryland and Miami as my top two," Parker, who is ranked No. 32 overall in the 2010 class, said. Parker has taken a handful of unofficial visits, including trips to Maryland and Virginia for their Elite Camps. He also said there was a possibility that he'd make a trip to Lexington (Ky.) to visit Kentucky in the near future. Parker said he plans to play with Team Takeover July.
