Georgia Tech Lands Guard

Posted Jan 13, 2003

Georgia Tech had spent a considerable part of the year looking for a guard who can come in and help them out. Thanks to a defection from Arizona, the Jackets landed someone who can help.

Bynum Picks Jackets

Will Bynum, a sophomore at Arizona, announced that he will transfer from the Wildcats program and enroll at Georgia Tech.

The native of Chicago started two games for the Wildcats this season and averaged 6.4 points and 1.4 assists as a freshman. He’s always been able to score the basketball and could see action at both guard slots for the Jackets.

Coming out of high school, Bynum considered Georgia Tech and visited the school. Bynum will sit out the remainder of this season and the first semester of next year. He’ll be eligible to play for coach Paul Hewitt at the semester break this December.
