Demetrius Walker is heading to the Pac-10, just not quite the school he originally committed to.

A late visit to Arizona State has yielded a new commitment in the Pac-10.

Demetrius Walker, a wing player out of Phoenix (Ariz.) St. Mary’s, signed a national letter of intent with the Sun Devils.

Walker had been counted as a Southern California commitment right up until last week when it became known that he wasn’t going to sign with the Trojans.

A native Californian, Walker’s mother moved to Arizona recently and it became natural for him to look into the ASU option once he decided against signing with the Trojans.

On Tuesday, the weeklong saga ended according to Arizona State Scout site publisher Hod Rabino.

“I was at the press conference, I saw it with my own eyes and took pictures and everything.”

The Sun Devils now own signatures from center Ruslan Pateev, Top 100 wing Trent Lockett and Walker.
