Prep Event Is Loaded
Bobby Jacobs knows how to pack them in. He certainly knows how to pack in crowds into smallish gyms in Lower Delaware. Friday marks the kickoff of Jacobs’ War On The Shore.
Milford, Del., provides the backdrop for Jacobs’ latest event. Over the course of 3 days, 18 of the best prep school programs in the nation will play 20 games. For college recruiters, the event couldn’t be more valuable.
Instead of venturing up and down the coast, recruiters can gather in a central location early in the year to see the best of the unsigned prep school talent and keep tabs on the guys who already penned letters of intent.
For the participating schools, the War On The Shore is about competition. Want to see talent? How about Blair’s Luol Deng and Charlie Villanueva trying to hold down Our Savior’s Juan Palacios? That’s one of the opening night matchups. We’ll cover the tourney start to finish. Here’s a look at the schedule of games for the first two days.

5:15: Worcester vs. West Nottingham
7:00: Life Center vs. Bridgton
8:45: Our Savior vs. Winchendon
10:30: Hargrave vs. St. Thomas More
