Day Two at the Cactus Classic had plenty of strong performances from some of the top players in the west....

Tucscon, Ariz. – The Cactus Classic continued Saturday and there were strong performances from Josh Smith, Avery Bradley and Tyler Honeycutt, among others...

Tyler Honeycutt, 6-7 JR SF Sylmar (Calif.) High. Honeycutt might be the best West Coast shooter at this event. He's been on fire beyond the stripe. But he's not just a shooter -- this guy is a player with an all-around game.

Avery Bradley, 6-2 JR SG Tacoma (Wash.) Bellarmine Prep. Bradley plays with great energy every time out and he's pretty consistent when he gets a jumper in the 15-18 foot range.

Anthony Marshall, 6-1, JR SG/PG Las Vegas (Nev.) Mojave. Marshall has been outstanding over the last two days. He does as many things to help his team win as any player in the west.

Elijah Johnson, 6-1 JR PG Las Vegas (Nev.) Cheyenne. He's as good an athlete as there is in the west. His point guard skills need polishing, as does his approach, but the tools are all there. Not a great shooter, but the stroke is fine and he makes enough to show you the potential.

Michael Moser, 6-7 JR SF/PF Portland (Ore.) Grant. Some people will question his outside shot, but the rest of his game is big-time. Plays both ends of the court and has a good feel for the game.

2010 Checklist

Josh Smith, 6-9 SO C Kent (Wash.) Kentwood. The big man got it going Saturday, as he got deep position and scored easily over opponents. When this guy gets in great shape, look out.

Terrance Ross, 6-5 SO SG Portland (Ore.) Jefferson. Big-time wing with a good stroke to three and great finishing ability. He'll be one of the elite wings in the class of 2010.

Terrance Jones, 6-7 SO PF Portland (Ore.) Jefferson. Skilled four man who can really pass the ball. Not real explosive, but size and skills will get him attention.

Angelo Chol, 6-8 FR PF/C San Diego (Calif.) Hoover. Lefty looks bigger than he did a couple weeks ago. Very long and very big upside.

Terrance Ross says he's hearing from UCLA, Kansas, Memphis and most of the Pac-10. Says UCLA would be his favorite at this time.

Anthony Marshall says he's hearing from Gonzaga, Miami, UNLV, Colorado State, Virginia and Washington.
