Keion Bell ended his high school career with a bang, as he averaged over 30 points a game and picked up college interest.

Last season was tough for Keion Bell.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound shooting guard didn’t play in one game and transferred to Pasadena (Calif.) High. The move, however, turned out to be a good one, as he averaged 33.4 points a game during his senior season.

“Not playing last year made me not take anything for granted during my senior year,” Bell said. “I think that’s one reason I’ve played so well. Every possession I’ve played hard.”

“This was probably one of the greatest basketball seasons I’ve had ever,” he continued. “I was playing at high level. I think there were only two people in California that averaged more points than me.

Despite a big season individually, Bell and Bulldogs didn’t so well in the state tournament, as they were upset early on.

“Actually the season except for the last two games was good,” Bell said. “We lost in the second round in the playoffs. We were the number two seed in our division and we were upset by the number nine seed.”

“I had a great season overall it just ended on a bad note. I think I played the best basketball that I’ve played this year.”

College coaches have certainly taken notice of Bell’s big senior year. He’s picked up scholarship offers from San Francisco, San Diego State and Santa Clara, while Virginia, Miami and USC are all keeping tabs.

“After not playing my junior year, this year I felt I was getting more attention that I got when I played my sophomore year. I think I opened up a lot of college eyes and a lot more colleges are starting to recruit me.”

Bell said he has all five of his official visits left and is in the process of setting up visit dates in the near future.
