Stacked Event Should Be Terrific
Normally, Bobby Jacobs waits until December to make the state of Delaware the hub of basketball activity. However, Jacobs latest venture The War On The Shore, will make Delaware the focal point of the prep school community beginning Nov. 22 and concluding on Nov. 24.
Jacobs has contracted with 18 teams to play in the inaugural event. For three days and 20 games, Milford High School will play host to an elite group of prep schools. Players like Charlie Villanueva, Luol Deng, Alexander Johnson, Mike Pilgrim, Regis Koundjia, Patrick Ewing, Julius Lamptey, junior Juan Tella Palacios, Josh Boone, Karron Clarke and Steve Hailey to name a few will be participating.
If you’re fortunate enough to go, you’ll be treated to matchups like Villanueva and Deng versus Palacios. When it’s all over, a champion will be crowned. The event will be a must attend for college coaches who can make their prep school swing in one weekend. The event also coincides with the first weekend they can get back out on the road.
The following teams are slated to participate: Blair Academy, Bridgton Academy, Brewster Academy, Coastal Christian, Hargrave, Laurinburg, Life Center, Lutheran Christian, Milford Academy, National Christian Academy, New Hampton, Notre Dame Academy, Notre Dame Prep, Our Savior New American, St. Thomas More, West Nottingham, Winchendon, and Worcester.
