Williams Headed To Pac-10
The Oregon Ducks are working on becoming a national program. With roots in the Northwest and Midwest already in place, Ernie Kent's crew set about establishing the brand in the South. On Monday afternoon, athletic wingman Teondre Williams, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Meadowcreek in Atlanta. Williams was looking a bevy of programs from the Ducks to Arkansas. "They built a relationship and just seeing some of the things that they have accomplished was impressive," Akil Bassy, Williams' traveling team coach told Scout.com. To call Williams athletic wouldn't do his game justice. He's built for a system that traverses the floor and the Ducks may end up throwing an alley oop or two his way. Williams is ranked as the No. 25 shooting guard prospect in the country. "He's got the ability to score the basketball," Bassy said. "(Oregon) shoots a lot of and their up and down pace of ball is the kind of style that Teondre likes." The Ducks have a national Top 25 recruiting class highlight by post stud Michael Dunigan, a Chicago native. He'll be joined by Williams and AAU teammates Matt Humphrey and Josh Crittle. Top 100 forward Drew Wiley rounds out the class.
