Pegg-ed For The CAA

Adam Pegg found comfort in Newark, Del., and committed to Monte Ross' program earlier this week.

The Delaware Blue Hens scored their first commitment from the Class of 2008 this week. Adam Pegg, a 6-foot-9 center from Palm Harbor (Fla.) University High pledged his allegiance to Monte Ross' program.

Pegg ran with Team Florida in the summer, was also pursued intently by Princeton and Tennessee Tech. As a junior the big fella averaged 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Pegg's decision hinged on his relationship with the 2nd year Blue Hens head coach. Ross himself worked the Floridian and that made an impact.

"That head coach made it special," Pegg said. "I really like Coach Ross. He has a special personality for a head coach. He was recruiting me (himself). At Delaware, all the coaches were recruiting me and he was there all the time. He was easy to talk to and I think the relationship with the head coach is the most important."
