We just got off the phone with Pete Padgett, father of David Padgett, 6-10 SR C Reno (Nev.) High. Pete confirmed that David has decided to attend Kansas next year.
"He had three great schools to choose from," said Pete. "But he didn't decide until yesterday around 3:00."
With Padgett choosing Kansas, there is speculation that good friend Omar Wilkes will join him in a Jayhawk uniform. Pete told us that he doesn't know which school Wilkes will choose. However, he did say, "We've got our fingers crossed. I wouldn't be surprised if Omar chose Kansas -- both David and Omar were really impressed with their trip to Kansas."
