SIU Rounds Out Class With Guard

Southern Illinois added one of the region's top point guard prospects. Chi-Town's Kevin Dillard is off the board.

According to multiple sources and his family, Homewood-Flossmoor point guard Kevin Dillard is heading to Southern Illinois.

The 5-foot-10 Dillard, a competitive driving force for the Meanstreets AAU team, was said to be receiving plenty of recruiting interest from Minnesota and Dayton before picking the Salukis.

Lowery’s program appears to be done with its 2008 recruiting having assembled another stellar 4-man class that should enable the program to keep pace and them some in the ultra-competitive Missouri Valley Conference.
