For the second straight year, Dayton stayed home to pick up a player.

Flyers coach Brian Gregory, one year after getting a commitment from Chris Wright, got another local product when Dayton Dunbar (Ohio) 6-foot-10 junior Josh Benson decided to commit to the A-10 school.

``He’s got terrific upside,” Dayton Dunbar coach Peter Pullen said. “He’s 6-10, long and runs the floor extremely well.”

Pullen knows talent. He just watched as Daequan Cook left for Ohio State – and he’s also got senior big man Aaron Pogue.

``Josh has range from 17 feet and in,” Pullen added. “He was a spot-starter for us last year, but he’s got big upside and he had started to get some attention after he had a good summer.”

Benson picked up recent interest from Purdue and Xavier.

``It was a good choice,” Pullen said. “He loves the staff. They were real approachable and stayed on him and showed a lot of interest. It came to be his second
