Orlando Early and Louisiana-Monroe got their man.
Over the weekend, Sei Paye pledged his allegiance to the team after narrowing his choices to La.-Monroe and Liberty.
The 6-foot-2 shooting guard out of Houston (Tex.) Strake Jesuit had been high on a number of program’s lists. He took his time in deciding and in the end picked the Indians.
“I thought about it with my coaches and family and decided that LA-Monroe was the best choice for me,” Paye said. “Coach Early and Dixon were extremely happy last night. They believe with the 3 recruits they have, that we can really do damage in the Sun Belt conference.”
Paye is one of those intangibles kids – not the swiftest, strongest or most athletic. What he seems to be is a young man who finds the winner’s circle and should excel at the mid-major level.
Early’s recruiting class appears to be a good one. Raphael Turner and Mitchell Hampton are a pair of highly-regarded frontcourt targets that will sign in November.
