The Phoenix got their man. Rahmon Fletcher, a high-scoring point guard out of Paseo High in Kansas City, committed to head coach Tod Kowalcyzk and the Wisconsin-Green Bay program shortly after visiting campus. Southern Illinois and Florida Atlantic had also shown considerable interest in him.
The Phoenix aggressively hunted point guards all summer long and Fletcher is a key recruit for them. The staff recruited him as he was a top tier target. “It made me feel good about my game and as a person,” Fletcher said. ”They trust me to be their point guard.”
Fletcher indicated that there’s a great opportunity for him to come in and help the program from Day One. “They said I can get in there and be an impact player but I’m still willing to work hard to get the things I want out of basketball.”
