Isaiah Thomas tells us he'd like to make a commitment in April. Two programs from the Pac-10 and Big 10 top his list...

Isaiah Thomas, 5-7 JR PG Tacoma (Wash.) Curtis, is having a very good junior season, as he’s leading the state in scoring with an average of 31 points a game.

We spoke with the high-scoring guard yesterday and asked him about the schools that he is serious about at this point in time.

Indiana, Washington, Florida, UCLA, Georgetown and Kentucky,” said Thomas.

When asked which programs have offered a scholarship, Thomas replied, “All of them except Georgetown.”

Thomas said two programs stand out from the group.

“Indiana and Washington are my top two.”

Thomas said he’d like to make a decision by spring.

“I want to decide on April 14th,” said Thomas. “I kind of want to get it over with before the summer AAU stuff so I won’t have to be focused on playing great in front of coaches all the time. I’d like to take unofficial visits to Indiana and Florida before April.”

We asked Thomas about the factors that will influence his choice.

“First, academics,” said Thomas. “Then someplace where I can get a lot of time or maybe start during my first year.”
