Ryan Hollins, one of the top post players in the senior class, has been granted a release by St. Louis from his NLI. He tells us he'd like to play for former St. Louis coach Lorenzo Romar...

Ryan Hollins, 6-10 C Pasadena (Calif.) Muir, signed with St. Louis last fall, but decided to ask for his release when Lorenzo Romar left the Billikens to coach Washington. St. Louis. granted Hollins release and it should become official today when Holllins sends back the paperwork.

Until the release becomes official, though, Hollins is prohibited from talking with other college coaches. We asked about rumors that he would like to follow Romar to Washington and Holllins said, "Hopefully, I can play for Lorenzo if everything works out. I don't know what's going on with them, and their situation, but he's my guy."

We asked Hollins if there are other schools that he's considering and he replied, "I don't know about any other schools because I don't know what their situations are."

We asked if he anticipated calling other schools and he said, "I'm not going to call anyone -- Lorenzo is the coach I want to play for."
