Andrew Bynum, a 7-foot, 295-pound senior center at St. Joseph’s (N.J.) who signed with UConn, has put his name in for the NBA Draft, according to a source close to the situation.
``They have already sent in the papers," the source told Scout.com.
Bynum, who scored nine points and had five rebounds in the McDonald’s All-American Game, also considered North Carolina and Georgia Tech.
Bynum became the 10th high school player to make himself eligible for the NBA Draft, joining Andray Blatche, Keith Brumbaugh, Monta Ellis, Gerald Green, C.J. Miles, Brandon Rush, Martell Webster and Louis Williams. Martellus Bennett, a two-sport star who signed with Texas A&M, has also declared.
