Kissimmee (Fla.) Gateway is home to one of the fastest rising players in the state. Keaton Grant, No. 96 in our latest rankings, is feeling the love from the high-majors.

During one of his big national appearances in April, Keaton Grant was under the weather. He was sick for the Boo Williams Invitational, the first spring travel team event of the year. Since then, he’s been lighting it up.

Grant, a 6-foot-3 wing out of Kissimmee Gateway in Florida, even cracked our most recent Top 100 list.

Grant, who plays for Team Florida, feels like his game is growing in a number of areas and can play just about anywhere on the floor. “I think I bring some things to the table,” Grant said. “I’m a lot bigger than most people I play against. I can post them up or step outside and shot. I’m more versatile.”

Last season, Grant ran through high school ball averaging 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Good numbers and a fine year, but not much buzz about him until AAU ball started. This year will be different, he’s hearing from some big boys already.

South Florida, Miami, Tennessee, College of Charleston, DePaul and Penn State have offered him already. Georgia Tech, Liberty and Florida, among others, are showing interest.

“Right now, I’m wide open. This is my first time being seen. I’m talking full advantage of watching all my options. I want to go to a high-major. I’m taking a look at everybody from the ACC to the Big 12 to the SEC.”
