Johnson Set to Visit Couple More

The recruitment of Jerome Johnson has had a few twists and turns, but it appears as though it's coming to an end soon - but not before a couple more trips.

Baltimore native Jerome Johnson, a 6-8, 220-pound senior forward who transferred from Bullis School to IMG Academy (Fla.), will likely take visits to Depaul and Clemson before making a decision.

``He's got to get it done soon," said Johnson's guardian, Kermit Carter. "It's coming down to the final hour."

Johnson is also considering Penn State and Virginia Tech. The Hokies will come in and meet with Johnson at the school on Wednesday. Carter also said he fielded a call from new Houston coach Tom Penders.

Johnson has already visited Nebraska and Cincinnati, but the Cornhuskers no longer appear to be in the mix. Auburn also dropped out with the recent coaching vacancy.

Johnson is clearly one of the elite players left on the board. Since making the switch from Bullis to IMG, his game has really improved. He's gained more confidence and has developed a versatile game where he can knock down the mid-range jumper and also score in the low post.
