Kevin Langford, a senior power forward out of North Crowley High in Texas, will sign a spring letter of intent to play in the Pac-10. It’s been a golden kind of season for this future Bear.

Earlier this week, 6-8 Kevin Langford of North Crowley High, committed to play for Ben Braun’s California Golden Bears.

Langford is averaging 19 points and 12 rebounds this year. His career at North Crowley has been a productive one. He’s been a part of a program that has won 54 straight district games and 52 straight home games dating back to 1999.

“He’s got broad shoulders,” North Crowley coach Tom Brakel said. “He can put on some bulk and athleticism. He plays facing up. I think Kevin’s going to be a great college four man. To me, and the way we play, he understands the game and not just what to do but why to do it.”

California took its time in evaluating Langford and got to know the family before putting the scholarship offer on the table. Shortly after the visit, Langford pledged his commitment.
