Alex Harris, 6-4 SR SG Alameda (Calif.) St. Joseph Notre Dame, committed this morning to UC Santa Barbara.
We asked Harris about his decision and he replied, "We listed the important factors and Santa Barbara had a lot of things going for it. I wanted to go someplace where I could make an impact and be part of a team doing well. I was hearing a little bit from some high majors, but I didn't want to go sit someplace for four years and just clap on the bench. And then the fact that it was close to home and has excellent academics."
Harris said the other schools that he heard from included Yale, UC Riverside, UC Davis, Pacific, Stanford and Oregon State.
