Temple lands Lowe

Temple landed their first commitment on Thursday and it is someone who can be a big piece to the puzzle.

The Temple Owls have been working hard to secure some of the better talent in Philadelphia and New Jersey over the past few years, and Trey Lowe was one of their top targets. On Thursday evening the Owls got it done with his commitment.

“He just texted me, Trey is committed to Temple,” said Team Final AAU Coach Aaron Burt. “I think this is a real good fit for Trey, and I know he has really liked them since March. He is a kid who fits into their system well, and I think he should have a real good career there.”

At 6-foot-4 with the ability to play multiple positions, Lowe is going to step in right away and fill the role of a scorer on the wing who can also handle the basketball.

A native of Ewing, New Jersey, Lowe has been to Temple several times and location definitely played a big role in his decision to pick the Owls.

“I know he wanted to stay close to home,” said Burt. “Trey’s family wants to be able to see him play, and with Temple being close to home it was a perfect fit.”

This is a big commitment for Temple as Lowe was recruited by other programs such as Seton Hall, Rutgers, St. Joseph’s, Purdue, and several other schools. In the end though it was the hard work by the Temple staff that got it done.

By committing, Lowe becomes the first member of the class for Temple.
