McClure makes choice

Baylor's hard work on the recruiting trail was rewarded on Tuesday morning with a big commitment.

One of the best pure scorers in the 2015 class is Dallas (Tex) Triple A Academy guard King McClure. The four-star prospect made his commitment on Tuesday morning, and he decided to stay in the state of Texas and picked the Baylor Bears.

At around 6-foot-3, McClure is one of the best pure scorers around. He isn't an elite athlete, and isn't the biggest guard, but he can really shoot it and has the basketball savvy and feel to score against nearly anybody.

In the end McClure the Bears over a host of other offers. Schools such as Texas, SMU, Arkansas, Indiana, and Kansas were all heavily involved with McClure until he decided on Tuesday morning to pick the Bears.

McClure had long been considered a lean to Baylor, and the consistent work by Scott Drew and his staff made it so that they wouldn't lose out on one of their prime targets.

Currently McClure is viewed as the No. 10 shooting guard in the class of 2015 and the No. 45 prospect overall. Recommended Stories
