Stock rising for Harris
In the city of Chicago Kain Harris has been emerging into one of the better players. Now suiting up on the AAU circuit with Meanstreets, Harris continues to show his combination of toughness and athleticism making his stock go up. "I think I played pretty good during the high school year," said Harris. "We won another state title. I have decided to transfer from Morgan Park though, and I think I am going to St. Rita with my teammate Charles Matthews." At around 6-foot-3, Harris plays off the ball and brings solid size and athleticism to the table, but he knows he can still get better and become more well-rounded as a player. "I think my game is coming along well," said Harris. "I am attacking the basket, and I think I am more focused on the defensive end. I know I need to keep working on my overall game though." Recruiting wise he has already picked up a handful of offers. "South Carolina, Creighton, Bradley, NIU, and DePaul have offered me," Harris noted. "I am hearing from Michigan State, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa, and Iowa State." He continued, "I would say that right now Creighton is recruiting me the hardest." When asked about Creighton, Harris said, "I like how they have an open offense and run up and down. They also get after it on defense and shoot a lot of threes." For now Harris has no timeframe for a commitment and instead is just focused on improving and getting better. "I am looking to improve on my ball handling and keep making good decisions," noted Harris.
