While Silva is relatively raw in terms of skill level and experience on the court, he does feel the season is going well for him.
"I am just trying to get better and improve every time I step out on the floor," said Silva. "Overall I think my season has gone okay."
He continued, "I have been working on everything because I have always been able to run and jump, but I have gotten better with my consistency and my shooting. Also I have worked on being a leader to my teammates."
While Silva is relatively green to the recruiting process, he is watching games. So far this season he had a chance to make one trip to Seton Hall for a Big East contest.
"I went to Seton Hall against Villanova at the Prudential Center, and that was real fun," noted Silva. "I saw a lot of good things at the game, and Seton Hall has stayed in touch a lot. One thing that game taught me though is that college basketball is a lot of work, and I know I have to continue to work harder."
Silva said that like Seton Hall, Villanova has also been playing very close attention to him on the recruiting trail.
"Villanova has been talking to me and saying they like the way I play, how I run the court, and how hard I play," said Silva.
For now Silva isn't close to a decision, but he knows with all the good options that he has coming up with a choice will not be easy.
"I know I will have a difficult college decision," explained Silva. "I am hearing from so many good schools that I know my decision won't be easy."
