Illini land second '15 pledge

The Illinois Fighting Illini got a big win on Saturday and then followed it up with their second commitment in the class of 2015.

Things are going well for John Groce and his staff in the class of 2015. Already they had an early pledge from one of the top in-state players in forward D.J. Williams, and they followed it up on Saturday with another top target.

Following a dominant win over Penn State, four-star wing Aaron Jordan joined the fold and picked the Illini.

A 6-foot-5 wing, Jordan can play multiple positions. His calling card is his ability to knock in shots from deep, though recently he has shown more of a game off the dribble as well.

Along with the Illini, Jordan had offers from Wisconsin, Indiana, Xavier, Butler, Illinois State, and a host of other schools, but it was Illinois that seemingly had the lead for the last several months.

Illinois will focus now on a few of their top targets, specifically a post player and someone who could potentially play the point guard position. Recommended Stories
