Villanova is off to an early start with their 2015 recruiting class.
In mid-June, 6-foot-8 power forward Tim Delaney committed to Jay Wright and his staff. On Friday, the Wildcats added a second 2015 pledge in guard Donte Divincenzo.
Team Final coach Rob Brown confirmed DiVincenzo's commitment to Villanova.
"They really prioritized Donte," Brown told Scout.com. "As a whole staff, they made him feel like family. Donte fits what 'Nova does and feels he can make an early impact.
According to Brown, Syracuse and Rutgers were the other contenders for DiVincenzo, a standout at Wilmington (Del.) Salesianum School.
"He was going back and forth with schools, but everything led him back to Villanova," he said.
Brown said DiVincenzo, a 6-foot-4, 175-pound shooting guard, is a good match for Villanova.
"I think it's a great fit," He's really good with the ball. He's super fast and athletic."
