The Michigan State Spartans landed a key, yet under the radar pledge in the 2015 class.

Michigan State Head Coach Tom Izzo has always liked to control his state's borders, and also find some under the radar talent. Well in the 2015 class he has done that with Muskegon (Mich.) standout Deyonta Davis.

Davis is a 6-foot-9 power forward who has mostly stayed under the radar on the national scene, but has increasingly picked up interest from college coaches.

Along with the Spartans, Butler, Xavier, Missouri, and others offered with schools like Iowa State and Michigan showing interest.

However according to AAU coach Dan Bonnell, Davis picked the Spartans on Wednesday afternoon.

"Congrats to Deyonta Davis on his verbal commitment to Michigan State," said Bonnell on twitter.

This is Michigan State's first pledge in the class of 2015. He has yet to be evaluated by, but will be seen during the high school season.
