Johnson to Arizona

Stanley Johnson gave Arizona some big news on Friday, as the Wildcats landed the five-star Southern California prospect.

Arizona added a major piece to its 2014 recruiting class on Friday, as 6-foot-6, 225-pound Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei small forward Stanley Johnson announced his commitment to the Wildcats.

Scout.com's 7th ranked prospect in the class, Johnson is a strong and athletic small forward who can beat defenses with his jumper or handle. He's a hard worker, competitive kid and a player who has won in just about every high school setting possible.

"I want to announce I am going to the University of Arizona," said Johnson on ESPNU.

He continued, "Arizona is a great school. What put them over the top was the way they recruited me since my freshman year. Just the genuine nature of the coaches and the feeling of family I got when I got on campus that was the biggest thing."

Johnson joins point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright, shooting guard Kadeem Allen and power forward Craig Victor in the Wildcats' 2014 class.
