Hoosiers nab Blackmon again

Tom Crean and Indiana got their man on Thursday night. Indiana landed the commitment of four-star shooting guard James Blackmon.

It has been a hectic 48 hours, but after it all, four-star shooting guard James Blackmon officially made his decision. With a national TV audience looking on, Blackmon announced his commitment to Indiana.

At about 6-foot-2 with picture perfect shooting form, Blackmon is one of the best offensive weapons in the class of 2014. There might not be a better pure shooter in the country than Blackmon, who led Spiece Indy Heat in scoring during the EYBL season.

In the end it came down to Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan with the Hoosiers and Wildcats battling things out until the end. However in a live announcement Blackmon picked the Hoosiers.

"Next year I will be playing my college basketball at Indiana," said Blackmon on ESPNU.

He continued, "The way Coach (Tom) Crean recruited me as a main priority and the way I see myself impacting the program. I think I can keep Indiana on top.

This is a huge commitment for the Hoosiers as it provides a big boost to what is shaping up to be an impressive class.

Blackmon is the third commitment for the Hoosiers. He joins fellow four-star shooting guard Robert Johnson as well as three-star forward Max Hoetzel.
