Harris holds immense promise
By way of introduction, Jalen Harris likely will be a name you read about at Scout.com frequently over the next two years. The slender point guard is an energy ball of speed and aggression, and at Saturday's Phenom Top 100 he proved to be one of the most exciting and effective players in attendance. Harris is competing in a sophomore class that has been heralded as one of North Carolina's strongest in recent memory. The Tar Heel State lays claim to the country's top prospect, Harry Giles, and several guards also have attracted early high-major interest. Harris obviously has plenty of time to establish his value to college coaches, and he's off to a very promising start. He's already hearing from some heavy hitters. "I've got interest from N.C. State, Clemson, Wake Forest, Liberty, Florida State, some more," Harris said. "Liberty is the only one that has offered so far, but I think some others will, too." Harris toured last summer with the CP3 15-under squad and, assuming he remains with that program, tracks to debut on the 17-under EYBL circuit at some point in 2014 or 2015.
