Bibbs makes his pick

Justin Bibbs

Four-star wing Justin Bibbs decided on Tuesday night to go to the ACC and pick Virginia Tech.

The Virginia Tech Hokies are trying to rebuild under head coach James Johnson, and they got a solid piece to the puzzle on Tuesday evening in Justin Bibbs.

Bibbs is a four-star guard at Montverde (Fla) Academy who is originally from Dayton, Ohio. At 6-foot-4 Bibbs is a good shooter who is athletic and can really pass the ball. He has been a role player at Montverde, but had a very solid summer for Ohio Basketbell Club.

AAU coach Corey Tucker confirmed the pledge to Scout.com.

"I just spoke with Justin and he told me he got off the phone with Coach Johnson and picked Virginia Tech," said Tucker.

Bibbs has been a priority recruit for the Hokies, and they tracked him much of July with assistant coach Andy Moore who is a native of the Buckeye State.

At different points during his recruitment Bibbs was being recruited hard by Xavier, Dayton, Cincinnati, and Virginia.
