Baker makes pledge

Oregon State snagged another class of 2014 commitment, this time from the state of Florida.

The Oregon State Beavers have made recruiting in the Southeast a way of life, and they did it again with their second commitment in the 2014 class from the area. The latest being Malone (Fla) shooting guard Chai Baker.

Baker, who is a two star prospect, is an athletic slasher who prefers to get to the basket. Running with the Alabama Challenge on the AAU circuit, Baker was third on the team in scoring, and was one of their better defenders.

The decision from Baker came down while on an official visit to the Pac 12 program.

Baker is the second commitment for Oregon State in the class. He joins Georgia native Isaiah Manderson who picked the school in July. Recommended Stories
