The Auburn Tigers had one of their top targets on campus this weekend, and he didn’t leave without making a commitment. Three-star forward Sam Logwood picked Auburn, and now will play his college ball in the SEC.
At 6-foot-6, Logwood is an elite athlete who is capable of some serious highlight plays. Also in the last year he has greatly improved as a shooter, and is somebody who continues to work hard.
“I have committed to UA,” Logwood announced.
The commitment was also echoed by La Porte (Ind) La Lumiere assistant coach Shane Heirman. Logwood made huge strides at the Indiana prep school last year, under Heirman and head coach Alan Huss.
“We are very excited for Sam,” said Heirman. “Coach (Ryan) Miller and Coach (Tony) Barbee had a strong presence early and continued this spring and summer during the AAU season. The SEC is obviously a phenomenal league and it fits Sam’s style of play. Again we are very excited for Sam.”
Auburn had been the leader for Logwood, who is a native of Indianapolis, for a long time, and now he is firmly in the fold, and the Tigers have someone with a ton of potential.
Logwood is now seen as a three-star prospect and the No. 30 small forward overall.
