Swift back on board

For Melvin Swift he is no longer headed to the Big East. The three-star prospect is no longer committed.

Three-star power forward Melvin Swift will not be playing his college basketball at Xavier after all. The Houston (Tex) Yates standout committed to the Big East school before his junior season, but he will not be signing.

Sources with direct knowledge of the situation indicate that Xavier would no longer recruit Swift, and he would look for another school.

Due to family considerations it is likely that Swift will stay loser to his home in Texas.

An athletic 6-foot-7 power forward, Swift had an up and down summer on the AAU circuit with the Houston Defenders.

Now Swift will look for another school, and could still make a decision by the end of the fall signing period.
