Forward Marcus Bryan had a solid summer with Garner Road and will take his game to Conference USA.

Charlotte Head Coach Alan Major has made it a priority to recruit the best players he can from the state of North Carolina, and he landed a solid piece to the puzzle in his 2013 class on Monday.

Power forward Marcus Bryan who ran with the Garner Road Bulldogs, committed to the newly minted Conference USA school according to the Garner Road coaching staff.

A physical and rugged 6-foot-7 kid, Bryan is a tough rebounder who can also score around the basket despite not being an excellent athlete.

Major and his staff have excelled with players like Bryan in the past, and are looking to bring him in to what is a talented and young roster.

At first it looked like Bryan would go into the 2014 class after a prep school year, however instead he is already qualified and will enroll in school immediately.

Also Major has familiarity with Garner Road as he coached David West in college, and West sponsors the program.
