Belmont scored a quality pledge on Monday evening out of the state of Indiana.

The Belmont Bruins were the presumed leader for Plymouth (Ind) forward Mack Mercer for a while, and on Monday that became a reality.

Mercer confirmed his decision to attend Belmont on his Twitter account.

A skilled 6-foot-9 forward, Mercer ran with the Eric Gordon All-Stars this summer and had a good run of things for them. In fact Mercer had interest from high-major schools such as Boston College as well as Saint Louis.

In the end though Mercer decided to head to Belmont where he feels his outside-in skill set will be on full display.
