The final 2013 player rankings are in.

Topping the updated list is Huntington (W.V.) Prep wing Andrew Wiggins. Known as one of the best talents in high school basketball in recent memory, Wiggins was the easy choice to top the rankings.

Athletically and physically, Wiggins is gifted. He stands 6-foot-8 and has wingspan that extends to 7-feet. Plus he has a 44-inch vertical.

On the court, Wiggins has blossomed as a player. He’s the best defender in the 2013 class, handles the ball well for his size and is great scorer in transition and attacking the basket.

What stands out about Wiggins is he’s just scratching the surface of his potential. He’s yet to develop a mid-range game and is just an OK shooter to the three-point stripe. With reps and development he has the potential to be a future NBA All-Star.

In the summer, the gap between Wiggins and the rest of his class seemed sizable. But one prospect in particular closed it some.

Despite being injured for half of his final high school season, Julius Randle, a 6-foot-8, 235-pound power forward out of Plano (Tex.) Prestonwood, managed to impress in a variety of ways.

At his size, Randle is a fluid athlete. He’s strong, aggressive and arguably the most physical prospect in the 2013 class. Randle likes to face up defenders and attack the rim, but he’ll also be quite effective in college on the block.

Randle also excels with his ability to rebound. He pursues the ball off the glass, has tremendous strength and is very good athlete. He is arguably the top rebounder in the 2013 class.

Jabari Parker, a 6-foot-8 combo forward out of Chicago (Ill.) Simeon, closes out his high school career at No. 3 overall.

Parker checks in at No. 3
The future Duke Blue Devil is a known winner, as he led Simeon to four straight Class 4A State Championships in Illinois.

Parker is a versatile forward that can be used in a variety of ways. His skill level is what stands out the most. He can make shots to 22-feet, has a developed mid-range game, but also has the ability to score from the post.

Arizona bound power forward Aaron Gordon checks in at No. 4 in the final rankings.

Gordon, a 6-foot-8, 215-pounder, ramped up his game during his final season of high school. He was especially impressive during the postseason all-star games and was named the MVP of the McDonald’s All-American game.

A high-level athlete, Gordon is at best in transition. He’s a very good finisher at the rim, rebounds the ball well and plays with a motor.

Kentucky’s future point guard – Andrew Harrison – checks in at No. 5 in the new rankings, with his brother – Aaron Harrison – coming in just behind him at No. 6 overall.

Andrew is a dynamic point guard with great size (6-foot-5) and passing ability. He sees the court well and puts his passes on the money. He’s also a talented scorer that can put up points in a hurry from both mid-range and behind the three-point stripe.

While Andrew plays primarily with the ball in his hands, his brother Aaron is arguably the best perimeter scorer in the 2013 class. Aaron has deep range on his jump shot, a refined middle game and is strong and physical enough to make plays at the rim.

Noah Vonleh, an Indiana signee, a pair of Florida signees – Chris Walker and Kasey Hill – and Arizona bound Rondae Jefferson close out the final top 10.
