Dominique Collier is one of the top point guards out west in 2014. Here's a highlight reel of…
Three show Collier most interest
For Denver (Col) East guard Dominique Collier, he is using the spring as a chance to show everybody what he is capable of on the court. The 6-foot-1 point guard is off to a good start with KC Run GMC, and now three schools are showing him the most attention on the recruiting trail. With good speed, a nice handle, and solid athleticism, Collier is someone who can do a bit of everything on the basketball court. After playing off the ball a lot during the high school season, Collier is out to prove he can definitely run a team. "I just want to show everybody that I can be more of a leader and play that point guard role more," explained Collier. "In high school I play more at the two, so I want to show that I can be a point guard." Collier has been on the radar for many schools for a long time, and now he says three are showing him the most attention. "Colorado, Kansas State, and Creighton are the schools I talk to the most right now," said Collier. The in-state Buffaloes have been after Collier since the very beginning of his high school career, and he says he has a tremendous relationship with the staff in Boulder. "I like the style of play and the coaching staff," said Collier. "I like Tad Boyle and Rodney (Billups). I have been close with Rodney for forever and I have gotten close to Tad since freshman year." Since their move to the Big East, Creighton has also tried to step things up, and they are now very involved in the recruitment. "They just moved on to recruiting me hard," Collier explained of the Bluejays. "I like their style of play and their coaches have been great to talk to. We will see how that goes." Also Kansas State has remained strong in the mix with Head Coach Bruce Weber showing up to many of his games this spring. "I have a great relationship with their coaching staff," said Collier. "Coach (Chester) Frazier and Coach (Alvin) Brooks as well as Coach Weber seem like great guys and we talk a lot." For now Collier is focused on the AAU circuit, but when it comes time to make a college choice two things will stand out to him. "I am just looking for the school where I fit in the best and have the best relationship with the coaches," said Collier.
