Looking Forward To: There are a couple of sleepers that could breakout in this event. Brekkott Chapman is gaining a lot of attention on the West Coast, and now he will be put to the test against top quality competition. Also Alex Illikainen has made a name for himself in the state of Minnesota, but he hasn’t been seen by many on the national stage.
As always the state of Texas has some intriguing players. It will be interesting to see the strides that the ultra-athletic Melvin Swift has made and if Joe Burton has completely refined his game. Also a pair of point guards in Shaquile Carr and Dominique Collier will have something to prove when it comes to where they stack up nationally.
Also a few elite prospects such as Keita Bates-Diop and Diamond Stone have a chance to cement themselves as elite players in their respective classes. Overall it is a good mix of sleepers and proven commodities that have a chance to showcase their skills in Kansas City.
