Thompson picks Tennessee

Darius Thompson ended his recruitment on Saturday. He'll play his college basketball in the SEC.

Darius Thompson pledged to Tennessee late Saturday night.

"I've finally made a decision! Im keeping it orange. Next year i will be a Tennessee Volunteer," Thompson tweeted.

In an interview with just over a week ago, Thompson inferred that Tennessee was his leader. He considered a host of schools including Alabama, Auburn and Florida State.

Thompson originally committed to Vanderbilt, but opened up his recruitment in early March.

Tennessee now has four prospects in their 2013 class. Thompson joins five-star wing Robert Hubbs, A.J. Davis and Travon Landry.

Thompson averaged 16 points a game as a senior. Recommended Stories
