L.J. Westbrook made an early pledge to Oregon State. This week he opted to back off that pledge and look around.

L.J. Westbrook backed off his early pledge to Oregon State this week.

"I decommitted 3 days ago," Westbrook informed Scout.com.

"The reason why is because now that I am in the 2014 class, I feel like I committed way too early," he added. "And now I want to take my time and see what my options are."

To go with his reclassification to the 2014 class, Westbrook, a 6-foot-3 guard, also recently transfered from Salem (Ore.) North to Lee (Maine) Academy.

Since decommitting on Tuesday, Westbrook said he's heard from St. Joseph's and Harvard.
