Oregon snagged a talented Junior College standout on Wednesday.

Junior College standout Elgin Cook made a verbal commitment Wednesday.

The Milwaukee native and current player at Northwest Florida State Junior College committed to Dana Altman and his staff at Oregon, according to his coach Steve Forbes.

"He chose Oregon because of his relationship with coach Altman and coach Stubblefield, opportunity to play, same class as Dominic Artis and Damyean Dotson and style of play," Forbes said in a text message.

Cook will have three years of eligibility at Oregon. He was recently name 1st Team All Panhandle and was named the Freshman of the Year.

Cook signed with Iowa State coming out of high school. He's the son of former NBA All-Star Alvin Robertson.
